Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to work with our client, who is a Waste Management specialist, based in the South Kirkby (WF9) area. Pay rate: £13.57 Shift pattern : 4 on / 4 off day shifts (07:00 17:45) Temporary to permanent for the right candidate. The Role Operate LGV vehicles for the transportation of waste material to landfill Complete daily pre start checks on vehicles before operated Compliance with driver hours rules and transport legislation Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company standards Under take induction and training relevant to the post Maintain a good standard of vehicle cleanliness Undertake vehicle wheel re torque on a weekly basis Attend operational meetings as and when required Ensure compliance with Defect report procedure. Maintain robust documentation records Support colleagues and encourage a team working ethic Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience and a current class 1 or class 2 HGV license Nationally recognised Driver CPC driver Card Driver Digital tacho card Demands high standards of themselves and others and is able to translate this into high quality, high pace output. Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive relationships at all levels Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance. Good organisation skills and the ability to forward plan making best use of time. . HGV Class 2 Driver Requirements include, but not limited to the following. HGV Class 2 licence, Class CE licence beneficial. DVLA check Digital Tacho Card Full in date CPC Card Attitude with the ability to plan work schedules.
