We design and manufacturer electric vehicle chargers and smart software for homes, fleets, and destinations at our headquarters in Suffolk, United Kingdom. We currently operate in over 30 countries around the world, including the UK, Norway, Thailand, and Australia (to name a few). We’re a young but highly ambitious company and already count the likes of Amazon, Uber, Sainsbury’s & Addison Lee as our trusted customers. Main purpose: You will work on the validation of cutting-edge products, software and services for the rapidly growing electric vehicle charging market. You will be required to analyse EO products and software systems for managing and controlling electric vehicle charging stations, and to help validate them to ensure their quality. You will be involved in the creation of testing environments, test plans and test cases. You will perform testing and report your findings and results. You may be required to provide second line support to end users. Key responsibilities: Contribute to the definition and evolution of comprehensive testing strategies for EO’s products, services, and solutions Contribute to the creation / development of the infrastructure, environments, tooling, and end- to-end automations for testing EO’s products, services, and solutions Help the team define and implement best practice testing processes to ensure releases are always tested reliably and efficiently Write and execute automated test cases Conduct component testing, end to end integration testing, User Acceptance Testing, regression testing Maintain and communicate test evidence Key Skills & Experience: Must Have Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining customised automated tests sets, programs and scripts, for testing web-based UI applications and REST based web services (Micro-services) Strong enough programming skills using Java/Python to build test frameworks Experience of test automation tools and frameworks, such as Cucumber, Selenium web Driver, Selenium IDE or SOAP UI, and experience in API testing with Postman The ability to write test automation programs and scripts using them Knowledge of SQL and scripting Experience in BDD/TDD Track record as a test automation SME, having written many 100s of automated test cases in multiple systems Experience in performing Regression Testing with Jenkins / GIT (CI/CD) Review requirements, API specifications and User stories for better clarity/Transparency Estimate, Prioritize, Plan and coordinate testing activities Strong experience with testing Windows Server based services, Mobile applications (iOS and Android) and embedded software Experience of designing, implementing, and maintaining testing strategies, test tools, test plans and test cases, following best practices Highly Desirable ISQTB Qualified Good understanding of IT networks and architecture (IP addressing, ports, firewalls etc) Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process Experience of mentoring and training junior test engineers Familiarity with programming languages Java/Python Ability to take initiative, and to adapt quickly to change Ability to work to deadlines, as part of a team, and on your own Diligent with a good eye for detail Experience of deploying and testing into Cloud environments Experience of performance / load testing and tools Experience of security testing is a plus BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject This role can be remote but only from within the UK. We ideally seek candidates who can already work freely in the UK
