INSIDE IR35 - CONTRACT UNTIL 31/03/2022 WITH VIEW TO EXTEND As an Environments Manager, you will be responsible for - • Environments & Build Management • Deployment, Build Management and Provisioning of end to end management of HMRC Borders and Trade AWS environments • Resolution of environment issues • Continuous improvement of delivery pipelines • Fulfilment of application and infrastructure build requests You will: • make sure that the infrastructure is available within service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) and is functioning as designed • maintain patching levels and the security of the information • carry out activities in incident, problem, change and configuration management and continual service improvement (CSI) processes Skills and Experience: • Excellent understanding of Technical IT Environment Management planning, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures in Cloud Hosted environments specifically AWS • Strong commercial awareness including 3rd party supplier and software licencing implications associated with environment provisioning and support. • Whole project lifecycle experience, working with Project Managers and Architects from initial conceptual design to testing and deployment into live. • Thorough understanding of ITIL Processes, specifically Change Management, Release Management and Configuration Management • Exposure to automated deployment and configuration tools • Information security - Understands information security and the types of security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats within solutions and services. • IT infrastructure - supports infrastructure technologies, solutions and services such as: compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructures, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including PaaS, SaaS. • Ownership and initiative - Owns an issue until a new owner has been found or the problem has been mitigated or resolved. • Service focus - Takes inputs and establishes coherent frameworks that work. • Systems integration - Able to co-ordinate build activities across systems and understands how to support integration testing activities. • Technical understanding - Has deep understanding of the technical concepts required in their role and understands how these fit into the wider technical landscape. • Testing - Able to review requirements, specifications and define test conditions. Able to identify issues and risks associated with work whilst being able to analyse test activities and results. • Troubleshooting and problem resolution - Able to dissect a problem to its component parts to identify and diagnose root causes
