Description Root Cause Analyst (C4) Location Edinburgh/Widnes Reporting to MI & RCA Manager In a nutshell You will provide insight to the business using MI and customer-centric data to support Sainsbury’s Bank Argos Financial Services (SBAFS) adherence to regulatory requirements. You will drive proactive change, making recommendations that positively impacts our customers and reduces complaints through Service Improvement Plans holding the business accountable for results. You will be responsible for conducting root cause analysis using various data sources to provide a holistic view of the customer experience. What you’ll be doing Responsible for the creation, provision and development of root cause analysis insight which is timely, accurate, fit for purpose, and meets regulatory obligations. Define and drive the evolution of the Root Cause Analysis Framework to further develop a consistent and robust approach in line with industry standards and business strategy. Drive the reduction of complaints through RCA analysis and driving business improvements through the creation and delivery of SIP plans to target the root cause of complaints and address the key issues. Understand the strategic direction of key stakeholders to ensure their requirements are considered in producing qualitative and quantitative outputs, and that reports are delivered within agreed timescales . Deliver insight into the root causes of customer complaints and drivers for poor customer experience that enable Executive Management, Senior Leaders and key business stakeholders to make informed decisions in risk management and business strategy. Responsible for ensuring business understanding and appreciation of key root cause learnings with development and ownership of corrective actions by the business to prevent re-occurrence and drive continuous improvement. What you need to know and show Ability to use logic to analyse information & / or problems, identifying key issues and actions required. Strong relationship management skills with ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels. Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure Highly numerate, with excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good understanding of Microsoft office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI) with ability to utilise to analyse data and provide insight and reports to a variety of audiences. Exceptional communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment, e.g. able to translate complex / technical issues to meet the audience's competency level using appropriate medium e.g. written/verbal.
