You have experience setting up or improving a PMO function at enterprise level within a portfolio business. You are adept at improving alignment with the business areas and competent when it come to developing process efficiencies including implementing PMO related software. You are someone who likes to network and champion your team to the wider audience, sharing successes to ensure the wider business understand the benefits of engaging the PMO team in projects the scope of which requires PMO intervention. Project Management at Wilmington This role sits within the Internal Compliance & Project Management team within Group Technology. It is responsible for leading 2 teams (one team focusses on Digital Transformation, the other on a range of strategic project) which compromise of 5 staff. Main Purpose of Role Reporting to the Head of Internal Compliance, you will work closely with members of the technology leadership team as well as key functional/commercial leaders throughout both the business and shared service organisations (e.g. Finance and HR). You will be responsible for articulating what good project management looks like and setting up the PMO organisation (in terms of standards and tools) whilst also being the senior level project leader on key group wide strategic projects (e.g. business transformation projects, Complex system implementation projects). You will lead a team of project managers using best practice PM disciplines to successfully deliver projects measured against ROI, time, and quality KPI’s. This role is central to defining and executing the PMO vision, which is set out to develop business capability to deliver more successful projects through consistent, repeatable, reliable, and tailored project management. Responsibilities: - Maintaining good internal and supplier relationship during the Project lifecycle. - Manage multiple projects concurrently meeting time constraints and expectations. - Liaise with stakeholders on project progress as required. - Liaise with project sponsors to keep them appraised on progress, risks and issues and ensure they are dealt with appropriately in a timely manner. - Maintain relevant project documentation, e.g. risks, issues, logs, status reports, project plans, change control etc. - Collate and report on agreed monthly KPI’s established to monitor the project portfolio (e.g. time and budget metrics) - Leadership of the team of project managers (Senior and Junior) - Team and employee development and training - Setting SMART objectives for team and monitoring achievement against objectives - Employee coaching and performance management - Establish effective governance, controls, and a common framework of good-practice standards, tools, templates and processes for all businesses - Improve project delivery, processes, systems and guidance for the project management function If this sounds like a role that you have the skills and experience for and would enjoy, why not submit an application and see where it takes you. Skills and Experience Required - Recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI) and experience of operating in both and agile and product centric organisation - Able to build credibility at the highest levels within organisations combined with excellent commercial and organisational awareness and insight - Highly organised and a proven ability to establish a rigorous and professional project management function for the business - Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills - Self-starter, highly motivated, resilient, and resourceful, with agile thinking and excellent problem solving skills. - Outstanding networker and team player - Hands on experience of directing, advising and/or managing complex projects and programmes, and project/programme teams - Leadership and management experience from a senior project management role - Experience and knowledge in delivering transformational IT and digital change projects - Knowledge and/or based experience of Privacy by Design - Experience of working in a B2B environment. - Vendor and budget management experience. - Education to at least degree level or equivalent As a portfolio Company, we are all different at Wilmington.
