Head of Enterprise Data and Reporting SearchDATA Group is currently recruiting a Head of Enterprise Data and Reporting for a growing UK-wide health care organisation. Our client is implementing a new digital strategy and transforming how they work in order to keep pace with the changing health and care landscape and ensure people receive safe, effective care. Becoming an insight-driven organisation is a critical component of their new operating model. As such, a new Data & Insight unit is being established from January 2022 and will be a crucial enabler to delivering the strategy. A new leadership team is being recruited to shape and lead the unit in achieving its goal of driving effective use of data and insight across the business and beyond in support of the organisation's purpose. The team will deliver new services to the organisation, underpinned by new technology, processes, ways of working, skills and roles. Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to lead the development and ongoing management of intelligence data, information and reporting platform and tools, and lead the organisation's approach to data architecture, data governance, data quality and data management to enable the business to become an Insight Driven Organisation. What we can offer Competitive salary - £70-90k An allowance for equipment needed for working from home Final salary pension scheme The annual leave entitlement for permanent staff starts at 27 days plus bank holidays Accountabilities Accountable for the enterprise wide data architecture, data platforms and analytics tools. Accountable for the managing the data and reporting architecture that underpins company data across all platforms. Accountable for the development and maintenance of taxonomies. Accountable for monitoring and identifying areas for improvement in data quality across the organisation. Establish frameworks and best practice for Data governance. Accountable for adherence to data, information and reporting governance . Accountable for the technical standards around data architecture and reporting, including consistent use of analytic and reporting tools. Accountable for horizon scanning and continuous improvement of technology and tools to be used or output by Data & Insight. Accountable for the productionisation and implementation of new analytical capability. Provide leadership assurance over the confidentiality, security and ethical use of data and information. Experience and skills required Proven experience with implementing cloud and big data technologies such as AWS and Azure. Proven experience with Master Data Management tooling to drive enterprise level standards in data management. Experience working with software vendors and external partners to deliver cost- effective, impactful data solutions. Proven experience of working closely with analysts, data scientists, product teams and the wider business to ensure data solutions are fit for purpose. Proven experience in leading and developing data teams Experience of managing competing demands and shaping priorities. Demonstrable understanding and awareness of key trends in data and analytics tooling and technology. Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a relevant discipline. Experience of driving change in team culture, behaviours and ways of working. Ability to set direction for a team and manage change. Ability to lead diverse teams Experience of delivering at senior level within an organisation. Experience of leading, motivating and managing your teams to enable them to be successful, motivated and the best they can be. Experience of identifying risks and effective mitigation. Ability to build strong working relationships with people of all seniorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff of all seniorities, tailoring communication style/ approach dependent upon the audience. Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, often with competing priorities, to gain agreement. Ability to represent wider team input into organisational level programmes, beyond individual accountabilities. Proven level of experience of leading and delivering change in a politically sensitive and complex environment. Experience in leading the delivery of complex work, incorporating multiple inputs and stakeholders, management of fluctuating workflow and associated resource management.Desirable: Knowledge and experience of health and care data. Knowledge and experience of the Health and Social Care sector and/or regulatory organisations.
