Principal Security Architect - Gov - SC cleared Our Key Gov client are looking for a Principal Security Architect to join on a long term contract - SC clearance required - Inside IR35. Role Brief: Highly experienced Security Architect to lead a team of senior security architects across portfolios. Responsible for: Setting the standards to which solutions must be built and ensuring that solutions are delivered to meet security and privacy requirements. engage and advising the business and delivery teams on the correct route to provide secure services and lead the development of Security Architecture to support this. collaborating with peers both within and outside your portfolio departments to identify new opportunities for exploiting emerging technologies and lead the development of architectures, patterns, and approaches to support their safe use in accordance with the department's risk appetites. overseeing the secure design and development of critical services either directly or through the management of delegates. directing the Security Architecture team ensuring that their input, wherever possible, can be developed into reusable approaches, patterns and examples. Skills Required: Experience of leading effective teams to support the secure design of major products and services. Experience of working with demanding security standards - ideally to standards that comply with Home Office NPRIMT controls Experience of working with agile engineering teams creating security-controls, with working-knowledge, to advise on cloud implementations across multiple platforms e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP. Strong knowledge of prevailing security tools and technologies. Strong knowledge of government and industry data/cyber security legislation, policy, patterns, standards (including but not limited to ISO27001, CSA STAR and NIS Directive) and guidance and government and industry risk management techniques Working experience with network security infrastructure technologies. Working experience evaluating the security of applications using both manual and automated techniques.
