About In-Space Missions In-Space Missions are world class experts who design, build and operate physical and digital space missions for global customers from our UK site. This is an exciting new role which will suit an enthusiastic, self-starting individual who will be responsible for providing a range of Project Management Office (PMO) services to In-Space Missions projects, programmes and portfolios. These PMO services will typically include financial control, planning & scheduling, monitoring & reporting, resource management, stakeholder engagement, risk & issue management, change control, provision of guidance and support. The successful individual will enjoy working as part of a team, is willing to flex their priorities to support others where necessary and is comfortable with a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. It will require someone who takes pride in their work, has attention to detail and can present a professional face to others. The right attitude is equally as important as background and experience. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: Contributing to the management of project budgets, forecasts and expenditure throughout the project lifecycle; Maintaining basic project plans; Developing project performance reports in line with governance; Ensuring adherence to PMO standards and reporting exceptions to the Project Manager; Managing workforce resource plans; Acting as the Point of Contact between the Project and a range of stakeholders; Developing and maintaining the Project Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies logs; Managing the Project Change log and progressing change request actions to completion; Providing guidance on project management tools, procedures, processes, tools and techniques; Setting up PMO tools. You will report into the Business Operations Manager and work closely with the Project Managers and the Finance Team. Education and/ or experience Essential (attributes for success in role): Experience of delivering PMO services in a routine (well defined projects) environment (2 years); Knowledge of PMO processes and procedures; Excellent communication and organisational skills; Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) with strong Excel skills; Ability to evaluate information from multiple sources and recommend improvements; Association for Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ) certification. Confident working with engineering teams; Nice To Have (complementary attributes, the absence of which will not disadvantage the applicant): Working knowledge of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning tool; Awareness of scheduling methods (e.g. critical path analysis, schedule health checks, baselining).
