IT Network Field Engineer - London - Sport, Events and Hospitality Who We Are We are a world-leading London-based football club with a state-of-the-art stadium and events space. It's an incredibly exciting time to join What Will You Be Doing? As a Network Field Engineer, your role will be to install, maintain, diagnose and restore network equipment, cabling and infrastructure to support our stadium, training centre and offices. The role is focused around our events & projects at the stadium and training centre so there is a requirement to work outside of normal working hours. What Will Your Key Responsibilities Be? First line installation, diagnostics and maintenance of network equipment and infrastructure. Receive, progress, report and close trouble tickets to internal customer SLA's using the correct processes and systems. Revise and update technical documentation and asset registers accordingly. Maintain the cleanliness of all sites and report any defects/problems. Perform risk assessments on-site and be able to follow method statements. Produce reports for site visits as required. Respond quickly and effectively to requests from the Service Desk, external parties and management on event days. What Competencies Are We Looking For? 1st Line Support and troubleshooting of network equipment including but not limited to: wired network equipment, wireless network equipment, data comms equipment, switching equipment, PSTN/ADSL lines Completion of site surveys to enable installation RAMS creation and work area/vehicle management Planned preventative maintenance Wiring and connection of network equipment to required standards and regulations Equipment installation and commissioning across various projects Network experience such as Aruba LAN/WLAN, WLAN, CiscoLAN and Aruba CPPM. Experience with tools and technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Bluecoat, Nexus,Infoblox, Polycom and Mitel PBX systems Proven experience of some of the following: security, cloud, networks, operational tools and any relevant hardware and associated operating systems A passion for delivering solutions to customers, owning the whole SDLC and living the DevSecOps principles A strong set of IT skills which would include Microsoft products, Aruba Clearpass, Palo Alto Firewalls. Ability and willingness to work on and gain an understanding of new equipment and technologies. Analytical skills to assist in fault resolution.
