My client is a highly respected and trusted organisation operating in a highly competitive and diverse sector. As a result of a recent reorganisation, they now wish to appoint a Procurement manager on an interim basis (possibly temp to perm for the right person), to take responsibility for the procurement management of a key category. Suitable candidates will have Demonstrable experience in defining and managing a portfolio of spend categories using appropriate best practices to build knowledge of demand and supply. • Planning and delivering tender projects using electronic tendering platforms. ts. • Managing risk across a broad community of stakeholders and contract portfolios. • Able to effectively prioritise, managing several tenders and stakeholders concurrently. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities • Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders and effectively lead project teams • In depth understanding of UK Procurement regulations and procedures • Capable of influencing and working with staff at all levels to drive change. • Knowledge of trends and best practice in Procurement • Highly competent/computer literate with a number of Microsoft Office applications and relevant software packages This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your existing skill set and to develop and influence at a senior level
