IT Support Engineer - REMOTE Birmingham – Remote working available £22,000-£28,000 Fantastic benefits Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has become available for an IT support engineer to provide 1st line/2nd line support to clients in a business renowned for a fantastic culture and excellent career progression opportunities. You will provide first class customer service to all users and provide initial resolution of incidents where possible. Where resolution is not possible then escalate the call to the appropriate support team within the department. THE ROLE: Providing first line support via calls/emails from customers and clients Log, track and maintain all tickets Main contact for resolution and recording of all 1st and 2nd, line hardware and software issues, relating to Incident & Problem management Installation, upgrades, configuration of user accounts Communicate with members of the IT department to ensure internal SLA's are met Participate in provisioning hardware, assisting with departmental projects Communicate and escalate known/reoccurring issues with the IT Management team Responsible for keeping the user informed on the progress of their support ticket Logging new users in the service management system Assisting with processing new users (accounts, email, permissions etc.) Assisting with Inductions of new users Adhere to the IT Security Strategy at all times Communicate with members of the IT department to ensure internal SLA's are met Attend departmental meetings as required, contributing as necessary Provide regular updates on progress to relevant teams and individuals THE PERSON: Previous experience within an IT support role providing excellent customer service Windows servers Microsoft exchange and office 365 Networking and firewall configuration VM Ware / Hyper V - advantageous Antivirus experience Server back up software technology experience advantageous Friendly, flexible and helpful attitude BENEFITS Competitive salary 25 days plus bank holidays which increases with length of service Bonus scheme Excellent Training & Development Day off for doing charity work Cycle to work scheme Pension contributions Employee support programme Life insurance Home working Join a business with a fantastic culture If this role sounds of interest to you, apply today to Sadiek RE Recruitment .com RE acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
