Job Advert Background As part of bp’s transition to a low carbon energy company, we are acquiring large numbers of wind and solar assets. The offtake from these assets is being provided to commercial and industrial clients through long term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). To manage the risk associated with these PPAs, especially during periods of low wind and solar activity, Flexible Generation (FlexGen) capacity is required (batteries, gas peaker plants). Optimising these assets will move bp away from its traditional wholesale, day ahead trading activity towards intraday trading in the UK and European energy markets. Role Description This role is to provide delivery management and business analysis support to bp’s trading technology organisation to support the business change associated with the FlexGen programme. The role will include but is not limited to: • Gathering business requirements and recording them in a product backlog • Elaborating backlog items ready for delivery • Working with solution architecture to ensure an end-to-end systems landscape which meets business requirements • Managing a hybrid team (internal & external) of delivery resources; utilising scrum methodology where relevant • Managing external vendor delivery • Implementing a test regime to ensure quality across the delivery • Provide regular reporting to feed into Governance framework, including advising on relevant delivery risks and issues The candidate should have good-quality experience gained in a commercial environment, as set out below.
