Stratton Recruitment are overjoyed to be working with an exciting, leading company involved in the design, development and manufacture of innovative capacitive touch applications Based in Cambridge, North of the City Centre, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Engineer to really flex their creative side. We’re looking for someone with a natural curiosity, who is passionate about their work and equally eager to learn. The nature of our technology requires combining different disciplines, processes, and outlooks. The role will involve design & set up of electronic systems using our printed sensor platforms to meet customer requirements. Purpose of the role Working with the design & product teams, CTO & engineering subcontractors to deliver reliable system design/implementation. Broad, practical engineering skills and an analytical, methodical approach to problem-solving, fault-finding, calibration & testing. Understanding of PCB layout & PCBA build – able to interpret schematics quickly. Requirements Firmware and software experience including design-input, implementation, test, debugging and maintenance (Embedded C, C/C++, Python). Understanding of capacitive touch, analog electronics & audio signal processing. You need to be comfortable working with & integrating Arduino, Raspberry PI and other third-party components into bespoke projects. Use of test equipment – oscilloscopes and multi-meters Knowledge of data communication protocols – including USB & Bluetooth Low Energy Practical, pragmatic engineering/maker skills – from spanners to soldering irons – hands on for this one A willingness to learn & articulate verbal communication are essential Comfortable working with creative teams Occasional travel to London office & client sites Ideal candidate Knowledge of creating tools for PC and MAC and development of iPhone/Android applications would be beneficial, but not necessary.
