The role brings a track record of developing and nurturing PE and portfolio business C-Suite relationships, providing customers with industry expertise to accelerate delivery of their investment thesis and building durable relationships for Microsoft. If so, the Private Equity Digital Advisor position, within Microsoft, is a unique career opportunity for you Responsibilities As part of the Customer Transformation organization, our Digital Advisors know their customer’s business, the industry in which they operate, and how Microsoft can help them drive their Digital transformation. The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, a principled approach to broad digital transformational challenges and opportunities including strong leadership and people skills. They also share a common set of characteristics and bring the experience that will drive innovation and Customer value leveraging the following: 1. Customer and Industry Insights: Act as a strategic advisor to the PE firm teams by partnering to modernise their technology and data capabilities and accelerate delivery of value growth. Lead and manage a PE team that spans EMEA Identify high priority portfolio businesses and accelerate untapped transformation opportunities that will drive consumption pipeline through industry innovations and products. 2. Trusted Advisor: Trusted advisor with the PE and portfolio executives from diligence through to exit with an in-depth understanding of their fund focus and investment priorities. Partner with Microsoft executive team to expand key relationships, and nurture ecosystem of PE influencers: leverage and grow external relationships: PE recruiters, Due Diligence Partners, PE data/digital leads, CTOs/CIOs, Event organisers. Provide insights, feedback, and challenges from the customer to internal teams drive action to ensure teams understand and respond. Lead adoption of technologies by plotting the strategic investment thesis of the customer's business strategy. 3. Sales/GTM Enablement: Leverage virtual PE technical team (CSA, DSA, Cyber Security Specialist, Business Apps Specialist, Digital Advisory Services), industry / functional expertise and relationships to capture thought leadership to shape customer strategy and drive business outcomes across the portfolio. Establish and maintain long-term future reliability of Microsoft towards private equity by developing scalable and repeatable programmatic approaches with alliance partners. Maintain high profile in PE industry, participating in industry events and forums, publishing, and nurturing thought leadership. 4. Digital Transformation, Scoping and Orchestration: Partner with mega fund PE senior executives to articulate how Microsoft technology/services will meet future business needs better than the competition and enable long-term growth. Tailor platform proposition to resonate with individual firm/investor needs – consider vertical alignment to macro investment trends e.g. Healthcare, FS, Software, Retail. Define blueprint on best practices of working with PE firms and their portfolio companies and coach peers to create and maintain opportunities. Qualifications Private Equity Experience, working for a Private Equity firm and in portfolio companies across EMEA on technology modernization and advanced analytics. Thought leader with executive presence, strong credibility, including ability to hold CxO, BDMs and Board level discussions, Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills, Proven experience in a consulting firm driving customer business outcomes, Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers. Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic operational execution. Empathy, curiosity, and desire to constantly improve, acquire new skills and drive for results, Recognized innovator with strong storytelling abilities to inspire growth mindset for the teams Broad understanding of the technology industry, including current and emerging Digital Solutions Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related Expected Business Outcomes. Growth of strategic mega funds. Positive customer NPS. Cloud consumed revenue measured by quarter as a key measure of 3-clouds consumption. Enhance customer satisfaction of both PE firm and portfolio investments. Partner across Microsof by defining complex global efforts with measurable results, which will include cross-group orchestration and a collaborative leadership style.
