Job Purpose: The role holder will report to the Regulatory Reporting Governance Director with day-to-day support provided by a Regulatory Reporting Governance Officer. The individual will focus on analysis to help build, design and run a strong governance and oversight operation that delivers assurance over the standards of reporting for and on behalf of all UK legal vehicles. As this function continues to evolve, they will be responsible for supporting key regulatory reporting governance development workstreams. The individual will work full-time as part of a small team in a work setting that can accommodate a ‘hybrid’ working style, made up with a mixture of home and office work locations, but they are expected to be flexible in their approach and accommodate the needs of colleagues and key stakeholders in order to make the role a success. The individual must contribute to deliver superior outcomes in regulatory reporting governance including assurance that existing governance requirements are met. These activities are associated with a large number of regulations and attract a high degree of management and regulatory attention. The EMEA CA&DPO Office is extending its responsibilities for governance and oversight to include UK regulatory reporting with regional and global impact and is looking for someone with proven skills, knowledge and experience in this field, to join the department. The extended governance model will encompass all forms of UK regulatory reporting; including the periodic reports from areas such as Risk and Finance, as well as all forms of trade and transactional reporting with which Citi must comply. Every business and function falls into the scope of this work and this results in several hundred different types of regulatory report being produced from many different areas of business. Key Responsibilities: A proven analyst demonstrating fundamental knowledge of UK regulatory reporting. Deliver routine and ad-hoc data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative. Provide report findings based on the data analysis performed. Understand and challenge data anomalies and unclear concepts. Identify areas where a more effective approach is achievable. Develop regulatory reporting knowledge, skills and concepts to demonstrate excellence in the role. Development Value: Enhance knowledge and experience on a broad range of regulatory reporting requirements, with further training in subjects where required. Opportunities to grow network of stakeholders. Knowledge/Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in the field of financial services and/or banking - specifically with regulatory reports. Proven exposure to and experience of challenging data analysis. Proven experience of performing reviews or sample testing or user acceptance testing. Proven experience of writing formal reports of analysis findings for management. An understanding of how a global firm is organised; both in terms of it being a matrix-managed environment and operating under the 3 LoD model. Qualifications Likely to be educated to degree level. Possessing a relevant professional qualification is a plus. Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the proven skills and experience. Skills and Competencies: An understanding of governance structures and the importance of governance materials. An understanding of how regulatory requirements work and how regulatory supervision works in the UK. Methodical, logical and excellent skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Good communication skills including clear and effective articulation of analysis findings and its justifications. An understanding of risk concepts; control standards; and issues management. Proficient in stakeholder management and an excellent team player. A self-starter, values self-improvement and keen to demonstrate effective deliverables. Competent skills with Microsoft Office.
