We are hiring software development engineers at all experience levels to be part of the GPU game performance drivers and tools team, to optimize drivers for pre-release AAA and other games and applications. We focus on graphics performance through shader optimization, driver optimization for GPU efficiency, innovative driver and tool development, and data analysis and automation. This is an excellent opportunity to excel in one or more of the focus areas: graphics rendering, GPU architecture, or data analysis and driver automation development. THE PERSON: You have good C++ programming skills. You have experience in graphics rendering, shader programming and optimizations. You are passionate about GPU and have good understanding about low-level GPU hardware architecture for performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze shader algorithms in HLSL, analyze GPU execution data from tools, identify performance issues and potential optimization opportunities Develop optimizations in shaders and drivers, brainstorm with other engineers to improve optimizations for more performance gains Contribute to drivers & tools performance infrastructure improvements PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong C/C++ programming skills for fast execution using light weight data structures and efficient algorithms, bit manipulation, pointers, arrays, classes, virtual functions, and etc. Experience in GPU parallel programming in HLSL, GLSL, OpenCL, CUDA or similar with understanding of graphics rendering Good understanding of GPU architecture, execution model and instructions, such as SIMD, threads, waves, registers, caches, performance metrics such as latency, bandwidth, throughput, and relation to underline hardware, and etc. Good understanding of GPU graphics pipeline, such as vertices, primitives, rasterization, shading, textures, screen space, Z depth, culling, BVH build and traversal, and etc. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field LI-HS3 Requisition Number: 170782 Country: United Kingdom Province: Buckinghamshire City: Milton Keynes Job Function: Design
