We are seeking a proactive and positive person with an innovative, strategic approach to assist in our UK policy and lobbying work. We need you to help persuade the governments of the UK to introduce policies and legislation that improve animal welfare on UK farms and move towards ending factory farming.You need to be able to raise the profile of Compassion in World Farming by communicating its policy objectives through engagement with politicians, policy makers and civil society across the UK. Proven lobbying ability is a must along with energetic commitment. Our office is in Godalming, though you must occasionally be willing to travel within the UK, sometimes at short notice.Our ideal candidate will have sound knowledge gained in a similar position with a proven track record of working on policy issues, analysing political developments to identify opportunities to influence policy and legislative developments and deploying a good knowledge of UK political institutions. A knowledge of farm animal welfare issues would be an advantage.
