That’s when it hits home. Our brand-new community wellbeing scheme is now open in the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough. We are supporting older people aged 55 with varying care and support needs to live independently in their own home and enjoy their well-earned retirement We offer high quality living in our 63 beautifully designed apartments with a variety of on-site facilities including assisted living technology through Tunstall, wellbeing and care provision, restaurant, café, hair/beauty salon, communal rooms and picturesque landscaped gardens. It will be a real hub within the local community. Your job As Reablement Worker, you’ll support our customers who have a range of support needs including frailty and dementia, helping them to regain or maintain their independence and live well in their own home by carrying out every day daily living activities by themselves. You’ll also be required to help customers who have more complex needs which will include personal care including bathing, toileting and getting dressed. You’ll find that no two days are the same because everything we do is “person centred” around our customers. You’ll assist in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, ensuring always every customer feels valued, respected and that their dignity is maintained. You’ll also work with closely our Lead Reablement Workers and external agencies to support our customers. You’ll report to Bridie our Registered Manager and working alongside Jemma our Community and Wellbeing Manager, both have a wealth of experience to lead our brilliant service and support you on your journey with Home Group. Working hours in this job We provide 24-hour support to our customers, so you’ll work on a rota basis from 10:00pm to 7:30am, taking your turn to work weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but in return we’ll give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you About you You’ll have a positive can-do attitude and buzzing to help us make a big impact on our customers’ lives and shape this brilliant new service. Your empathy will really shine through as will your ability to empower customers to live their best lives. To make sure our customers are well supported and be willing to provide a range of personal care and understand our CQC requirements. You’ll have experience of empowering customers, risk management and supporting them through their care plans. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll nurture your talent, help you understand how things work at Home Group and you’ll have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support You will hold a Level 2 Diploma in Care or have equivalent experience and if you don’t, we’ll pay and support you to achieve this. If you have experience of providing reablement focused support, then this would be the cherry on the cake To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe). When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one. In line with current Government legislation for CQC services, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated to work in this service, unless you are exempt.
