Female Support Worker £11 per hour Part-time, 20 hours per week Darlington, DL1 Full UK driving licence essential Who will I be supporting? A lovely lady in her 40s and a fabulous gentleman in his 60s They have learning disabilities, autism, diabetes and can experience some behaviours of distress The lady is a wheelchair user, and the gentleman communicates without words They live in a supported living home, which has a beautiful garden that they love spending time in They also enjoy horse riding, baking sweet treats, going swimming, spending time with their families and going out for walks Due to the complex nature of their needs, we're ideally looking for people with previous support work experience What will I be doing? You will be supporting the lady and gentleman to live their lives how they choose, to be themselves and to achieve their goals You will be supporting them with their full personal care, medication (including insulin - full training provided), meal preparation, and domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry You will also be supporting them to go out and do the things they enjoy What shifts are available? Shifts are typically 8am one day until 8am the following day with a sleep-in shift included There are also day shifts from 10am - 5pm and 10am - 4pm depending on what they have planned for the day We're looking for people with flexibility to work a combination of these shifts on a rota that includes weekdays and weekends Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work/life balance Why choose Dimensions?
