We support customers who have faced homelessness or have been at risk of homelessness and help them to get ready for independent life. The service works with customers with a variety of support needs with the idea of ensuring sustainable tenancies for customers who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. You’ll work with our external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. We recognise and celebrate our differences, About you As a Flexible Bank Support Worker, you’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You’ll have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans and working collaboratively. It would be amazing if you’ve had a job in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here As this is a community-based job, you’ll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a vehicle that would also be amazing (we pay your expenses to cover this use) When you join as a Support Worker, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one. How your job works Working on our Bank, you’ll be able to pick and choose your shifts - from those available in your area. As busy as you are, you should be able to do this on the go via your mobile device Working hours We provide 24-hour support 7 days a week to our customers. You’ll work on a rota basis covering shift patterns from 07:55am – 20:00pm and will take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you About our team You’ll work alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we're not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. You’ll work with a fantastic team of Support Workers and Support Coordinators and will be led by our Senior Client Services Manager.
