We are looking for a Sales Manager to manage a team of 8-10 Account Managers for a well-known IT Security Reseller. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in coaching and progressing a sales team and also have a strong technical background with SaaS, Security, Cloud or similar. This a remote role in UK. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & CORE COMPETENCIES:- Professional/B2B sales rhythms and sound commercial awareness Ability to define a sales strategy, plan and organize accordingly Strong operational and analytical abilities Excellent communication skills, written, oral and timely Ability to drive consultative selling of systems/software/cloud solutions Overcomes challenges to ensure success with a positive and proactive response Relationship builder – Successfully consults with other team/company members, Expertise across defined market sectors is advantageous (Industry & Manufacturing, Healthcare, Education, Transport & Logistics, Building & Retail) Knowledge of Electronic Security market is advantageous PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:- 2nd or 3rd line leadership experience leading teams in strategic sales within various industries and regions in GB Significant experience in developing business through value propositions and integrated solutions for specific market verticals Proven track record of developing and implementing B2B sales strategies Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization PURPOSE OF POSITION:- The sales leader will be responsible for leading and developing the GB Key Sales team. Accountability for building and implementing the customer acquisition strategy within targeted market sectors while expanding the opportunities within the company’s customer base. Manage the sales process, sales metrics and sales funnel for medium-sized customers with a national focus. Possess and continually develop expertise across all verticals within the team. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Sales Focus Responsibility for leading assigned teams and supporting them to develop and execute their sales plan to increase the customer portfolio value and margin within their vertical, in line with business objectives Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting, track and manage targets aligned to business metrics. Work in partnership with other leaders ensuring all sales activities are aligned to key strategic goals Attend customer meetings with National Account Managers, identify opportunities to improve the sales processes and to drive a better customer experience Sales Growth:- Drive double-digit sales growth across the Key verticals in line with the operational plan Work with the vertical Team Leaders to ensure that assigned verticals are managed effectively Develop the existing customer base, ensuring customer satisfaction, upselling and cross selling Manage sales leads conversion to grow new business People:- Consult and build strong relationships with colleagues and departments (e.g. Product, Marketing, Operations), seeking and giving assistance to support the team and the wider business Coaching, mentoring and development planning of the team, supporting continuous personal and professional development in their role Recruit new National Account Managers, ensuring that new employees meet the requirements of the role Ensure the teams have the relevant skills to sell Security solutions, partnering with the Product, Monitoring and L&D teams to train the National Account Managers Develop a positive culture within the teams, driving engagement, motivation and providing regular feedback on performance and support/direction where required Provide structured support to colleagues who are struggling so as to increase performance levels, seeking support from HR as required Able and willing to support at any stage of the sales process to aid overall team performance If you are looking for a new challenge please contact me at sdonovanmayflowerltd.com / 07515 394 899 for a more in depth chat.
