Description As a Sales Executive, you are an integral part of the B2B TechPro sales team. Your role is to generate ‘net new’ client-direct business and maximise ad revenue from your business territory. The role will inherit some existing accounts, however, the primary focus is on new business opportunities. The B2B TechPro division comprises a group of premium b2b technology websites and solutions. A direct focus on clients is required, educating marketing managers and senior decision makers as to these solutions. You will work across a multitude of revenue streams. You will have the full portfolio of solutions to offer clients, including growing revenues such as Lead Generation, ABM, display media, webinars and virtual events, content partnerships and programmatic opportunities. You will report to a B2B TechPro, Senior Account Director based in London. Key Performance Indicators Key measurements to success in this role are: Delivering quarterly revenue targets. Contribute to the fast growth of the B2B TechPro team. Sell the full range of advertiser solutions as detailed. Improve knowledge levels of B2B TechPro and across the wider market. Exceptional working knowledge of client spending patterns. Clear and focused sales strategy presented in quarterly sales plans. Establish seamless working practices and a one team mentality. Strategic Approach You will implement a considered approach to your patch. Working closely with the Senior Account Director you will build a quarterly ‘Sales Plan’ detailing how you will hit your target, clients you will prospect and how you intend to close them as new wins. You will represent the business externally as much as possible by selling on your own patch, and cultivating your own opportunities. You will utilise the resources within the company to their fullest. From an engaged editorial team, to central services and a dedicated campaign delivery team, you will ensure you are able to offer clients the best service, insight and relevance. You will track your own performance via Salesforce and other mechanisms to be able to showcase development and growth. You will have regular 1-2-1’s with the Senior Account Director to support your sales strategy and assist in meetings/presentations with prospective clients and existing clients. Requirements Core Competencies No previous sales/commercial experience is required, however, it would be advantageous. To be self motivated to achieve and exceed targets Commercial awareness to understand the importance of activity levels and the resulting impact on sales pipeline Identify and have opinions on market challenges and opportunities for your agency patch and communicate effectively to team and management. Have an always-on approach to looking out for new revenue streams and new opportunities Good organisational and time management skills as you manage internal and external expectations Excellent communication skills as you build relationships with internal and external stakeholders Achieving Results To meet and exceed personal revenue goals Commercial awareness to understand the importance of a healthy sales pipeline in order to meet targets on time (meetings, conversations, proposals, revenue) Effective Communication Collaboration Effective working with multiple departments (Lead Operations, CampaignManagement, Project Management, Partnerships, Editorial). Understanding of other departments, individuals and companies with regards to how they work, timelines they work within, what they can offer and their objectives. An open and positive attitude . Share successes, meetings, learnings, opportunities for growth as a team and company. Winning Sales Collateral You must be capable of preparing professional and competitive client presentations using existing B2B TechPro templates (and with senior sales support) Working with Management and other departments Inform and report on all key business under discussion - accurate sales pipeline management. Contribute, inform and help senior management on wider B2B TechPro projects. Communicate and alert wider team and management of business opportunities and challenges in market. Knowledge It is not necessary to have previous experience within Technology or the Advertising industry but it is advantageous. Must have a passion for knowledge and the opportunity to learn and grow.
