About Reporting into the Contract Manager, we’re looking for a Commercial Specialist to join our fast paced and dynamic supplier-facing Commercial team with responsibility for negotiating rates and availability with, and monitoring daily rates for, our offsite hotel programmes. A Commercial Specialist is a Commercial expert with good communication and negotiation skills, working closely with the Contract Managers to drive revenue through hotel performance and Commercial opportunities. Commercial Specialists are great at working independently, efficiently and have exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to multitask on a daily basis. You will provide day-to-day support to our Contract Managers in managing the relationship with our key hotel partners, using data and analysis to identify trends and opportunities and contributing to their strategic decision making. Championing destination strategies, you will deliver exceptional service to our suppliers helping to maximise their sales whilst offering our customers competitive hotel pricing. Would you like to…? Build and maintain relationships with hotel suppliers on a daily basis, ensuring sufficient supply at all times. This will include negotiating and securing additional allocations, being responsible for day to day questions and issues from hotel suppliers. Use the data system (Looker) to translate the data into information to drive hotel performance. Learn about the different markets, what drives performance, and know what it takes to provide a good product, and negotiate a good deal. Analyse hotel rates and availability using OTA Insights to ensure we’re delivering the best package prices, are on sale when we should be, and identifying revenue driving opportunities. Support the Contract Managers with the drawing up of hotel contracts and offers. Be creative and come up with good ideas for revenue driving opportunities. Communicate and collaborate with other teams to support the launch of new products and development projects, attending meetings where necessary to represent and contribute from a Commercial perspective. Work closely with the Operations team and Content team to ensure the Commercial tasks are moving forward and are completed on time. Take the opportunity to develop skills and progress your career. You have strong organisational skills and can prioritise your own workload You are able to work independently when needed You have the ability to work under pressure and hit deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail Good numerical and data analysis skills with the ability to spot trends and seek opportunities. A strong interest in understanding commercial markets and negotiations, is results focussed and able to see the bigger picture.
