Sales Management Professional (North) £30,000 - £52,000 basic, plus bonus, Car/car allowance, laptop, mobile & benefits Client, Job Role, and expectations With over 40 years’ experience, our client has developed an enviable reputation within the automation and control industry as a leading provider of components and products, but also full bespoke solutions and integration. The business has the ability to fully understand the conceptual automation demands of customers and create bespoke machinery and automated solutions to meet those demanding requirements. This can include robotics, process automation, laser marketing, pick&place and much more. The business has seen continued growth, but now faces a number of positive challenges. These include managing revenue and customer growth, sustainability, potential succession planning and enhancing existing service offerings. To achieve these aims, they are partnering with Charlesworth Kennedy to appoint a number of key personnel. The first of these is a sales professional. They wish to increase their sales presence, sales turnover and profits across the UK by appointing a sales professional into the business. The role requires an individual who can be based at the Bradford premises throughout the month but is also able and willing to travel extensively across the UK. It is understood that the successful candidate will require a mixture of skills, including account management and new business development. The company currently receives a number of credible enquiries each week, which this individual will be responsible for qualifying and converting. In addition, they will need to assess the current customer base of the compoany, to see where business can be increased / improved, but also as a "brag file" to push new business within certain sectors and demography. The successful candidate will have a passion and proven track record within business development and sales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and have extensive knowledge of process automation, and automation and control products. Of particular interest will be candidates who have machine build, process integration or concept to completion solutions experience. Role responsibilities Support, review and execute the Go-To-Market strategy to maximise sales and profit growth Identify and appoint quality distributers, OEM’s and End Users and become their trusted partner and motivator regarding safety expertise Identify key regional and national end users, OEM and engineering/ automations businesses which can be supplied directly Understand and interpret their customer's demands to offer the perfect tailored solution while maximising profit Research prospective key accounts in target markets, pursue leads and open doors to finally follow through to a successful agreement Experience Ideally Degree educated (or equivalent) Ideally 10 years experience in developing existing customers, attracting new customers and relationship management Proven track record of sales growth performance within automation and control products, or machine safety Proven negotiation skills and the ability to consistently close profitable deals. Excellent presentation and communication skills Confident in presenting pitches to key customers for product development and new products A willingness to travel and work in a team of professionals Natural commercial mindset with exceptional great communication, emotional intelligence, and strong sales skills Strategic thinker, effective at using data, logic and instincts to identify problems and execute solutions at scale Package / Remuneration: The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following: Basic Salary: Between £30,000 - £52,000 Company Car: Car or Car Allowance Bonus/Commission: OTE bonus TBC Additional: Health, Pension, laptop, mobile phone Contact James Dawson Lead Consultant
