This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager who is keen to transition into a director level role within 12-24 months, as this position has the potential to join the board of directors subject to satisfactory performance reviews. With many years’ experience, an excellent reputation with their customers, you will be joining a company whose technology is really at the forefront of the industry they operate in. The role: The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for sales across the globe. You will liaise closely with existing customers and internal stakeholders in several global locations, mainly the US and Asia. You will look to aggressively grow business year on year, with a particular focus on the development of their Asian market, as well as identifying and developing new niche markets which are relevant to the business and technology. In addition to these existing customer relationships, you will have opportunity to guide and develop the internal structure in a way that they believe will be most effective in meeting the yearly sales objectives. The successful Senior Business Development Manager will need the following experience & skills: Degree qualified, preferably in science or engineering Experience of managing international technical sales operating in different time zones and cultures. Experience in supporting key business customers Professional practitioner of modern sales management techniques A technical background, enabling the candidate to be able to technically liaise with customers and also to be able to accurately communicate the customer’s technical needs to the business Comfortable with the financial aspects of sales, margins and able to effectively work with the other departments in the business Comfortable working in a high-tech business. Able to command the respect of customer technical experts and our own technical experts Able to represent the company at a senior level with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
