Commercial Director Role: Manage all aspects of the commercial team (between 8-12 people) Effective management of the Company’s customer base to deliver margin and volume growth whilst driving continuous improvement in Customer Service Ensures effective management of existing customer base including margin management, customer trials, service levels and complaint resolution Direct management of Asda and other major customers where appropriate to deliver margin and volume growth whilst driving continuous improvement in customer service Ensures continued development of new business pipeline with clearly reported Business Opportunity pipeline Works closely with sales and development teams to continually grow the business through focused product and customer development Delivery of value through the focused management of market and customer-based development projects and programmes whilst ensuring regulatory compliance Build detailed plans to ensure Business Opportunities and product development projects/strategies are delivered effectively. Drive and manage joint project teams within The company’s external suppliers and customers Acts at all times as a positive force for change, plan effectively and sees through changes thoroughly and expediently. Lead the process for monitoring progress against plans. Ensures activities deliver expected benefits, learning and feedback. Buyer criteria: Experience of managing senior level relationships within Multiple retailers Significant sales experience in the food industry Understanding of P&L and Balance sheet Negotiation experience Project management experience; product development, customer and supplier Highly numerate Working hours: 8AM – 5 PM Monday- Thursday, 4pm on Friday there will need to be a degree of flexibility
