Holiday 25 days per year plus statutory bank holidays Laptop for work use 14 months FTC Main Responsibilities The goal of this position is to maximise the satisfaction of Automotive customers by understanding their needs and influencing the internal and external supply chains to meet those needs. Day to day: Develop and maintain forecasts for likely UK customer demand within the assigned Product Sector. Monitor the availability of product in the UK within the assigned Product Sector and take actions to maintain availability at a level agreed with the Manager Supply Chain Planning and Control. Place purchase schedules with internal suppliers and validate their responses. Have direct internal contact with our Customer Service Advisors and Goods Inwards personnel on product availability. Direct contact with suppliers (tel.&e-mail) to expedite due/overdue deliveries. Provide information to customers via Sales or Customer Service regarding the likely availability of specific product lines. Undertake specific project based work on new range introductions and similar activities. Evaluate and report on supplier delivery and quality performance and lead resolution of non-conformances. Requirements: Similar experience within a previous role Ideally degree or equivalent or CIPS qualification Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and basic applications are necessary. SAP experience preferred but not essential Very organised, high level of attention to detail Excellent customer service skills Proven ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner; strong problem solving skills Identify areas for improvement and find solutions to continuously improve their own, their team and business performance. Have a 'can do' attitude and problem solving approach Be confident in your own decision making process and demonstrate the ability to support decisions by sound reasoning.
