We are currently recruiting for a Production Controller to join our IPS site in Desborough, on a full time and permanent basis. Shifts: (Apply online only), (Apply online only), rotating Salary: £34,000 to £36,000 Job Description To manage production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with QA and safety standards. Motivate a team of people to meet production targets Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI) To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on a hourly/daily basis. Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external Assist in the training and development for all production workers including new starters Attend Line leader meetings, and relevant training courses when required Monitor, control and minimise waste Play an active part in continuous improvement To participate in the companies PDP program To conduct disciplinary investigations in accordance with company procedure To act as specialist for machinery knowledge Manage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues Cover for the Area Manager in his/her absence. Liaise with customers and clients as and when required. Must be prepared to cover a variety of shifts to represent the management team Qualifications H&S L2 Qualification NVQ L2 in Team Leading of Packing Operations Experience of manufacturing machinery and processes Skills Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner Fosters an open and collaborative culture Listen and encourage new ideas from others Knowledge of company procedures and actively demonstrates compliance Able to positively lead a team of people (temporary labour) Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines A commitment to respond to changing customer needs Additional Information In return, we offer: Strong career stability and an opportunities to progress through within the business.
