We are delighted to bring this new and exclusive position to the market. Working in partnership with our client we are in direct contact with the senior leadership team. Due to continued growth and development within the organisation, we are currently looking for our new UK Manufacturing Manager. This leadership position will have responsibility for all elements of operations including supply chain, production, quality, facilities, CI, EHS and CX across three manufacturing sites located in the UK. You will lead and inspire three plant managers as well as the wider operations team to create a culture of both sustainable and continuous improvement. This role is pivotal to enable the company to execute its operational strategy, continuously improvement and long-term growth strategy. You will have a strong background within a similar make to order environment where you have successfully led and demonstrated leadership capability built on providing clear focus and direction. Main Responsibilities Ensure the best possible return and levels of service across Safety, Quality, Cost, Deliver and Inventory. Ensure the correct operational structure and resource levels drive the requirements of the business. Seek out opportunities to deliver operational excellence initiatives and investments aimed at driving down cost whilst improving efficiencies and customer service. Leads, manages and motivates the operations team in the delivery of consistently high standards of safety, product quality, operational excellence, and customer service. Promotes a safety culture where personnel adhere to safe work practices & standard operating procedures. Developing and executing the manufacturing strategy to maximise operational effectiveness. Work closely with Commercial, Purchasing, Product Management and Quality team to ensure a quick and pragmatic resolution to any issues which may affect customer service, and performance Develop & delivery of CX & OPEX improvement initiatives. Inspiring manufacturing teams to challenge existing processes and implementing sound solutions. Ensuring costs are minimised through the best possible utilisation of material, plant, equipment, staff and consumable purchases. Planning and development of budget figures and investment plans and monitoring of progress through the year. Ideally, we are looking for candidates that have a degree in a Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent proven background. We are looking to speak with people that have worked across multiple Sites within the UK. Looking to speak with individuals that have already worked in senior leadership capacity within similar manufacturing business. To also have a working knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes & materials used throughout metal processing & fabrication industry. Must also have a good track record implementing continuous improvement & operational excellence philosophies including lean and six sigma. Good knowledge of ERP and ideally SAP. Demonstrable Senior Operations Manager experience of running a successful multi-location operation.
