Ascentis has a fantastic opportunity for a People and Culture Advisor / HR to join our team based in Lancaster. You will join us on a full time, maternity cover contract for around 12 months, with an ideal start date of early October 2022. You will be working 36.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £35,950 per annum. As a People and Culture team of 4 we support a group of companies known as the Ascentis Group, made up of around 170 people. Responsibilities of our People and Culture Advisor / HR will include: Providing professional, balanced and consistent advice on all P&C policies, procedures, terms and conditions and employee relations matters, keeping the Head of P&C informed at all times Managing the People and Culture Assistant, specifically overseeing all work carried out by the P&C Assistant to ensure a high level of quality and efficiency, effectively managing their performance and development, ensuring the accuracy of their work and attention to detail and ensuring a positive customer service experience is always provided Preparing for, attending and advising on policies and procedures, service formal and informal P&C meetings where required, including taking notes, ensuring that all paperwork is accurate and liaising with trade union representatives Undertaking P&C administrative duties accurately and efficiently What we’re looking for in our People and Culture Advisor / HR: Qualified to CIPD level 5, or working towards Experienced in advising managers at all levels on the full range of HR issues Experienced in advising on employee relations issues in both informal and formal settings Experienced in coordinating recruitment and selection activities Experienced in using a HR system Understanding of HR best practice, policies and employment law Meticulous with a very high attention to detail Competent and experienced in the application and operation of ICT, in particular, Microsoft Office Products Closing Date: Monday 15th August 2022 Interviews are scheduled for Thursday 18th August 2022 If you like the sound of the role and the organisation, and you think the above attributes describe you – please click ‘apply’ now to become our People and Culture Advisor / HR - we'd love to hear from you
