One of the UK's leading Wealth Management organisations is currently seeking to recruit a Training and Competence Partner to cover the London and South East region. Responsibilities include Ensuring that all aspects of the Training and Competence (T&C) policy are properly and effectively implemented in the locations the job holder is responsible for. Professional Standards - educating and advising individuals and their line manager/Supervisor on their responsibilities to meet FCA regulatory requirements and the companies T&C Scheme, ensuring they are aware of T&C policies and strategies that impact their business area and supporting the attainment of and monitoring the companies professional standards. Carrying out training, observations and assessments as well as providing feedback and coaching to all staff covered by the T&C policy. This will aid supervisors and managers by helping them to collect the necessary information to assess competence. Making sure Managers and Supervisors are challenged on their decision making and that they have appropriate oversight on their employees from a T&C perspective. Specifically, advising senior management if an individual is not fit and competent to undertake their role and ensuring that appropriate actions are taken and followed up where appropriate. Ensuring that all Senior Managers, Regional Managing Directors, Heads of Office and other senior employees who have Certified employees understand the importance of T&C, and that the message is appropriately cascaded to their leadership team and that implementation is effectively monitored. Ensuring that managers and supervisors are fully aware of the T&C supervisory responsibilities and providing them with the support to effectively perform this role as well as guiding Supervisors to take appropriate action where adequate supervision is not being undertaken. Providing support for each business/ function in your region(s) on all T&C matters. Acting in an advisory capacity to ensure all competence requirements are met. This will involve managing, influencing, and negotiating at all levels. Ensuring all employees obtain the correct qualifications and receive the appropriate training in a timely manner to ensure they remain fit and competent to perform their duties. If additional training is required, then appropriate solutions should be found and delivered and checked to ensure any issues have been properly addressed through specific training where appropriate. Implementing group wide T&C projects to the region. Leading or supporting specific HR projects where appropriate for the wider business. Responsible for ensuring data capture and reporting for the region is both accurate, timely and effectively used. Coaching managers on execution of the BD performance management process. Encouraging ongoing feedback and ownership from line managers. Ensuring T&C induction initiatives are planned and completed, supporting managers and Supervisors with their onboarding of new starters and advisers through the relevant sign off processes Advising employees on career paths and opportunities as well as providing appropriate support. Advising managers on the succession planning process. To develop strong working relationships with key decision makers such as Regional Managing Directors, Heads of Office and Compliance to be able to proactively identify issues and then identify and implement effective commercial solutions Skills/Qualifications/Experience Ideally degree educated but as a minimum A level or equivalentIdeally qualified to CISI or CII level 4 as a minimum or any equivalent appropriate qualification. Experience in Financial or Professional Services industry is essential.
