Do you crave autonomy as a General Manager, somewhere it feels like you are running your own business, somewhere that needs a bit of TLC and your expert guidance The turnover is currently at 14 million, they know that this can be increased by at least 30-40% with someone like you who can identify those key improvement areas and increase employee engagements, simple things could have a big impact whilst you deal with the bigger stuff behind the scenes, and with a 50% bonus available here that is something you will be well rewarded for Each of the sites within this group of businesses run individually, you will be the captain of the ship here responsible for the P&L and day to day operations, but the support and backing you have from group makes this a very unique opportunity. They are aware that investment is needed both in machinery and process and need you an expert in operations and process to come in see how things are currently working, make recommendations and implement those improvements. As General Manager you might be in a role where you go to work and things are running smoothly it's the same everyday and you are craving a challenge, somewhere you can really make a difference, perhaps your current company was a bit of a mess when you came in but now you've fixed it its time to move on? Manufacturing Engineering Process These are your thing, you know the six sigma & kaizen methodology like a child can recite their nursery rhymes, you live by these practices. You have a fantastic Finance Director and Commercial Manager who you can work closely with on all things Commercial, and group are in the process of expanding their Sales and Marketing function to provide you with data and insights you can really work with. If you've worked in 2nd or 3rd tier automotive you will be used to the pace and expectations, your new boss has lots of experience in automotive, aerospace and engineering so between you amazing things can be achieved. You won't be alone here, you will be supported by a very experienced and approachable Operations Director who already has a road map set up for you to go on. Your team of 130 are experienced, used to traditional values and processes, but most of them know change needs to happen and will be engaged, but as with any change there are always those who are reluctant to come along on the journey, you know how to identify and plan for this and are always one step ahead. You have great people in the roles of Commercial Manager, Operations Manager, Health and Safety & Maintenance Managers and you also have the support of a very experienced Finance Director who is currently babysitting the site along with his day job; collaboration is what this business is all about You are someone who puts people first but you might identify that people aren't in the roles they should be in, so tough decisions will be on the cards, but you will have the support of a fantastic HR team with you every step of the way. As General Manager you are experienced in Capital Expenditure, looking at what machines you have, what machines you need, working closely with the maintenance manager to identify these improvements. Sustainability and Environmental issues are firmly on the agenda here both at your site and across group, you will work closely with the board and other business units to ensure these are addressed. The sector has a reputation for being dirty and not particularly glamorous, but these guys are working hard to change that and even looking at new processes they can add to their portfolio, there really is no better time to join. They do operate a 3 shift system, so although your hours will be days, when a GM needs to be there you know you are there You will be rewarded with a salary of £85-90k plus car, the 50% bonus I've already noted, plus other benefits.
