Our ‘Good’ rated CQC registered service provides support to our brilliant customers who have Learning Disabilities & Autism within an accommodation support setting and within satellite properties in the local community. As our Supported Living Worker, you’ll support our customers to live their day to day lives as independently as possible. The team will tell you that no two days are ever the same because everything we do is “person centred” around our customers. You might help with personal care (like bathing and administering medication) in the morning and supporting them to go to the cinema to watch a movie, supporting them to clean their flat or helping them making their favourite meal in the evening. You’ll play your part as our Supported Living Worker by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans. You’ll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to support our customers. If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, we’re glad to support you if you need help. To make sure our customers’ needs are met, it’s important that you have worked in a care & support environment before. You have a great understanding of professional boundaries, responsibility for safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality and record keeping. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. There are 17 of us in the team in total, and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too Working hours We provide 24-hour support to our customers. You’ll work on a rota basis between 7.30-22.30 and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays and will be required to do sleepovers on a rota basis. Most of your work will be within our properties in the local community but you will be required to work in our accommodation service at Gainford House as part of your role.
