An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic, motivated Staff Nurses/ODPs to join our team in the Fife Community Dental Centre, Recovery Area. You will work alongside a dedicated, supportive friendly multidisciplinary team, who provide high standards of care and work cohesively as a team. Recovery can be an intense fast paced environment where every day offers new challenges and learning opportunities This post involves the immediate post operative/anaesthetic care of both children and adults in a community dental suite environment. Recovery nursing involves the care of the unconscious children, adults and special needs patients with airway adjuncts in a one-to-one nurse/patient environment. Fife community dental suite delivers family centred care, the multidisciplinary team strives to make a patients visit to the unit a positive experience. If successful, you will receive a comprehensive 6-month orientation programme and will be allocated a mentor. Advanced airway management skills will be taught by Anaesthetists and Senior Recovery Practitioners. The post will allow you to develop many extended roles and intensive nursing skills in this very interesting and varied job. The Recovery Area has a very successful in-service training programme and gives you the opportunity to be taught by anaesthetists, surgeons and clinical experts.
