Position – Operations Manager Salary - £40,000 - £46,000 Location – North Yorkshire AD Energy are working with a top class Anaerobic Digestion business who operate plants across the UK. They have a very rare opportunity for a Operations Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have expereince working on a AD site previously and have a good personality suited to managing staff. Responsibilities Control of contractors including RAMs review and issue of permits Updating the maintenance schedule and ensuring PPM’s are being completed Booking in the planned maintenance using the schedule to minimize downtime Management of stock of spares, replacements, consumables and ordering Writing maintenance procedures (SSOW) Ordering and scheduling of feedstock to ensure the AD plant has adequate feedstocks. Complete and communicate the daily KPI report Management of the site team Pro-active problem solving Diagnosing problems on site through observation and using the SCADA system Managing the lab and schedule in accordance with the permit and approval requirements Working with the biological support services, provision of feed information, regular lab results and following the advice Cover for the General Manager as required Ensuring that site staff and contractors are following safe systems of work and RAMS, either internal or external before work commences Managing safely to ensure the safety of yourself and others, this includes following SSOW and risk assessments Managing the feedstock in accordance with the APHA, Pas 110 and OFGEM requirements and site permits Managing the site outputs in accordance with the APHA, PAS 110 and OFGEM requirements and site permits Maximising CHP performance and gas to grid output and in accordance with the budget Maximising the heat use in accordance with the budget Working with the SHEQ team, in terms of environmental and health and safety compliance Details of the role Site based Travel may be required to various locations in the UK Overnight stays may be required with this post Flexibility to work on other sites in the locality Training of other staff as required on site duties, systems and procedures Full driving license essential Training / Qualifications AD experience WAMITAB for AD
