Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as an Advanced Technical Support Engineer for our Low Voltage Distribution products. What do you get to do in this position? To provide the Best in Class Advanced Technical Support on a selected range of Schneider Electric Products, including, but not limited to, Low Voltage Distribution, Industrial Control and Drives & Automation Products. Actively promote the use of digital tools to enable customer self-service where appropriate and to enhance the overall customer experience. Provide technical and application support as well as fault finding and commissioning assistance to all external and internal customers. Drive customer satisfaction by collaborating with other departments within Schneider to resolve challenges, and to promote product or process improvements. Actively promote Schneider products from across all ranges, identifying and passing warm lead opportunities to the sales teams via BfO What are your key responsibilities in the role? Pre-Sales Technical Support providing precise and clear detailed application assistance to enable customers to select and purchase correctly and easily. Promotion of digital tools to customers to improve customer experience. Propose FAQ from handled cases (bFO); create/contribute to Video FAQs. Provide support to the customers for product replacement, troubleshooting and technical complaints. Keep up to date with new product introductions, in addition to advancement in technologies and applications (Eg: Ecostruxure) Post Sales Technical advice providing detailed information to help customers to install and commission our products quickly and efficiently. Methodical questioning regarding site safety giving diagnosis of application design, installation, commissioning and breakdown issues with safe and effective resolutions. Ability to use lab equipment and/or smart viewer software to diagnose, replicate and advise safe and effective solutions to customers technical issues. Proposing solutions based on careful questioning of customers real needs and which match product capability, application, standards and legislation, within budgetary constraints. Liaise with Product Application Engineers and Expert Level Technical Support to ensure the customer receives the highest level of support across all products regardless of the complexity of product or problem. Provide product related information on Schneider Electric products and competitors’ products to enable the marketing department to enhance and improve the Schneider offer. Contribute to team targets for warm leads. Identify sales and services leads from customer interactions, ensuring they are recorded in correctly in BfO and assigned to the appropriate sales/service team for follow up. Drive NSS by providing complete end to end case resolution within optimum time to customer, ensuring cases are correctly categorized and closed out on BfO. Demonstrate the Schneider Core Values at all times. This role might be for you if? Customer focus, with previous experience in a technical customer support or customer facing role desirable. Digital citizenship – computer literate, with knowledge or experience of digital customer service support Strong verbal and written communication skills are a necessity Appropriate technical qualification and/or experience. (ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent) Expectation to continually update and enhance the level and breadth of technical knowledge. Site experience of using Electronic or electrical products preferred.
