List Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a long term role based at a company in Immingham, North East Lincolnshire. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, the job scope includes the control and ownership of small to medium size projects and assistance in major projects and capital budgets. Activities/Responsibilities Ensure maximum availability of all plant and equipment to meet operational requirements at all times. Plan, issue work instructions and co-ordinate maintenance and shutdown activities related to planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on all sites. Including assessment of completed work. Define, estimate, administer and progress Capital and Major Maintenance Projects. Formulate and administer Major, Planned and Routine Maintenance work plans. Investigate failures and recommend changes/improvements to plant, equipment, systems and procedures. Guide, motivate and improve contractor staff performance. Ensure compliance, by all contractors, with company specifications and procedures. Contribute and participate as a member of the Management Team to ensure all objectives/goals are met, including responsibilities within the Safety, Quality & Environmental Management systems Participate in MOC and RCA activities and has own MOC & NCR actions. Purchase requestions and procurement as required. Attends and participates in meetings as required. CMMS administration Controlled Drawing clarifications / amendments Assist in the update and creation of Engineering standards and procedures. Accountabilities To manage maintenance activities at minimum cost, with minimum impact on operations and with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality criteria met. To ensure the organisational objectives and goals are fully understood and met by contractors. Qualifications and Experience required Required: Several years of Practical, hands-on experience of planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on a Petrochem or other Tier 1 CoMAH site. Able to provide demonstrable examples of reducing breakdowns costs and improving reliability / efficiency Degree level or equivalent preferred - or working towards a similar qualification Previous experience in organising, leading, motivating, and controlling contractor workforce. Desired: CMMS user LOLER, PUWER, CoSHH, Work at Height & Confined Space working Experience Experience of maintenance of Marine equipment Modern Safety Management qualification Project Management / Turnaround planning Oil Spill Response Internal Quality Auditing CAD experience Mechanical DSEAR / ATEX / CompEx trained Mechanical, piping, structural & civil maintenance engineering experience in a Marine or arduous environment situation preferred Health, Safety and Environment Monitor and promote safe working practices/procedures. Ensure that engineering specifications are adhered to. Promote continuous improvement in reducing accidents/incidents. Application of COSHH Regulations in engineering.
