Field Service Engineer / Service & Calibration Engineer required to join leading manufacturer of CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines). The Field Service Engineer / Service & Calibration Engineer will be home based covering UK and Ireland.Ideally, the candidate will be based inthe North of England or the surrounding areas. This includes Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool & Newcastle. The successful Field Service Engineer must have experience in a field service role, ideally on CMMs, electromechanical machinery, CNC machine tools, robotics or similar. Package £34,000 - £36,000 Overtime Company car Pension 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Role Carry out fault diagnosis to module or component level and provide a written report with faults Where authorised carry out calibration and issue appropriate certifications Communication with customers throughout activity Liaise with customers and various engineering departments Electromechanical servicing of CMMs and installing, updating and using operating software Carry out customer visits for scheduled service, calibration, repair and installation of CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) Home based, covering UK & Ireland (2 vacancies so could be based either in the North or Midlands Attend to breakdown calls Attend Exhibitions / Trade Shows for build and breakdown Give technical advice / guidance and assistance to customers Requirements Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Calibration Engineer / CMM Engineer / Installation Engineer or a similar service / calibration role A technical / engineering qualification in engineering or engineering apprenticeship Experience in calibration / calibrating processes Experience servicing / knowledge of metrology, optical measurement, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), electromechanical machinery, CNC machine tools, robotics or similar. Electromechanical servicing and software background outside of CMMs would still be of particular interest Willingness to travel home based, covering UK & Ireland Full UK driving license
