LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHING ASSISTANT DULWICH COLLEGE’S KINDERGARTEN & INFANTS SCHOOL October 2022 Dulwich College seeks to instill a culture of equity, respect and support for others, and offers inspired teaching, scholarship and learning in and beyond the classroom. A world-leading boys school with 1,630 pupils aged 7-18 years and a co-educational kindergarten and infants school of 230 (DUCKS), the College employs over 600 staff and enjoys a beautiful and historic site covering 70 acres in South London. We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support team. You will be supporting designated pupils on a 1:1 basis within their classroom environments, enabling them to access the curriculum and help develop their social and communication skills. You will have a good knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, and understand how to implement effective behavioural, emotional, social and communication interventions. This is an exciting full time, permanent role for someone with a real passion for enabling children with SEND to flourish. You will be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupils’ Individual Learning Support Plan in liaison with the class teachers and Head of Learning Support Transition. The ability to promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour as well as effectively communicate with staff and professionally with parents is essential.
