Network Support Assistant
Location: Edinburgh Salary: £30.6k - £37.8k (dependent on skills & qualifications) Reference: REQ2403 THE ROLE We have an exciting vacancy for a Network Support Assistant within the Network Planning Team based in our Edinburgh office. Reporting to the Network Support Officer, the role in question will include the following primary responsibilities: Maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of the Distribution supply system Ensuring the accuracy of SGN’s Network Analysis computer models Supporting development of the supply system in a safe and efficient manner Determining the optimum method of network operation consistent with minimising costs and maintaining statutory obligations. Developing optimum mains replacement designs, taking account of factors such as cost, deliverability and interaction with other activities / business drivers Developing reinforcement designs in support of new connections, taking account of factors such as cost, deliverability and interaction with other activities / business drivers Developing a detailed understanding of Leakage and Environmental Emissions Incentive Providing an efficient and effective service to operational departments.
