The opportunity Our Medical and Healthcare Innovation Team works with the NHS, academia and other partners to test and develop new products and services for people affected by heart and circulatory diseases. As our Health Innovation Programme Officer, you’ll work alongside the Health Innovation Programme Managers and play a crucial role in the end-to-end delivery of new funding streams, using the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) grant management system. You’ll support all aspects of programme management including planning, monitoring risks and issues, dependencies and coordination of programme reporting by developing and maintaining all the relevant documents in line with the standards and templates of BHF’s programme management office. Acting as the main liaison between the Innovation and Finance teams you’ll ensure that all financial transactions for the portfolio of funded programmes are carried out as per BHF processes. You’ll also manage the team’s central administrative operational functions that are outside of the finance operational tasks e.g. meeting notes and arrangement etc. Working arrangements This role will be home based and will support programmes across all 4 nations. Virtual meetings will be carried out where possible, but this role will also necessitate occasional travel. Monthly team meetings are hosting at our London office. About you This role is a opportunity for an ambitious, highly efficient and organised Programme Officer to further develop. With a degree level in a health or social care or related field you’ll have a recognised qualification in project management, such as Prince 2 or equivalent, and demonstrable proficiency in MS planning tools to a high standard. You’ll have previous experience of supporting the end-to-end delivery of a major programme (or portfolio of programmes) as well as previous experience of supporting formal programme committees (including provision of updates and briefings prior to, during, and post-committee) to a high level. Able to work autonomously in a dynamic environment you’ll be working in a rapidly changing context with multiple priorities. You’ll have previous experience in communications and stakeholder management, including drafting and preparation of correspondence, reports and briefing paper and will be highly organised and efficient at managing a mixed portfolio of work to meet deadlines.
