Your new company Hays have been retained by one of Northern Irelands leading medium sized construction companys with a proven track record gained over the last 30 years for delivering an impressive portfolio of projects based on their depth of experience, in-house design, construction & operational resources delivering fully integrated whole life solutions. They pride themselves in delivering to the highest quality standards with a totally committed expert management team throughout the complete project lifecycle. Their structure is such that they are large enough to deliver major projects whilst ensuring a personable 'hands on' approach from all involved. Currently they are seeking a Contracts Director to be the head of operations & delivery for all commercial projects and report to the Managing Director & CEO. Your new role As Contracts Director you will be responsible for the Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Site Engineers & site personnel. You will be the head of the operations and delivery team on commercial projects, managing the team to provide a quality product, safely and professionally, within set budgets and agreed timescales, while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for effectively managing the commercial Construction function to ensure best practices are followed, high quality is maintained, programmes are adhered to, management of supply chain is maximised, costs are controlled, maximising revenue generation, and contributing to the company's operating profit and increasing the value added to the company. What you'll need to succeed With a projected turnover in excess of £25m and a reputation for delivering quality with an unrivalled professionalism and work ethic you will be expected to have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the commercial construction sector coupled with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Management Team gained in a construction related business with a similar level of turnover. Strong leadership skills & commercial understanding of the construction process with the ability to motivate people and drive production within set budgets are key requirements to be successful in this role evidenced by a proven track record in delivering construction projects on time and to budget in a management role What you'll get in return You will be joining a highly professional contractor who strongly promote acting with integrity in all that they do.
