About The Role SITE MANAGER Permanent Opportunity Division: Building Location: London Benefits: Motor & Travel Allowance; Subsidised Private Medical Cover; Life Assurance Scheme; Living away from home allowance (where appropriate), Contributory Pension, 33 Days annual leave (Including Public Holidays) We are searching for an experienced Site Manager who will support both the Directors, Contracts Managers and Project Managers in co-ordinating all site activities, manage all sub-contractors, and continually monitor and update on site progress to the management team. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining best practices and procedures across the business, ensuring they are fit for purpose as the business grows. The candidate will hold excellent communication skills, have the ability to work as part of a team and have confidence to have a positive impact on the Company. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager will solely manage projects or assist a Project Manager on larger schemes. Projects will range in value from around £5M - £30M. A full driving licence is essential. About The Candidate The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar position with a main contractor. Typical duties will include: - Undertake the management of Site staff under his/her control. - Check drawings and keep drawing register updated - Assist in the scheduling of materials for ordering from the procurement department. - Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet the agreed programme. - Assist to develop construction programme - Monitor Programme - Develop plant programme with assistance from CM and QS - Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. - Supervise the site labour and the works of subcontractors - Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are adhered to. (EQS) - Ensure quality records necessary to meet PQP are collated and maintained. - Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise. - Keep a Site Diary Site Filing - Interact with other members of the construction site team (design Team). - Liaise with other function/departmental managers. - Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate - Arrange testing of materials as per PQP - Ensure all appropriate records are kept to assist QS Our Commitment to you: We are proud to say that we are a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and we aim to be the first choice for people from all backgrounds.
