Primary Location : UK-Northamptonshire-Northampton Job Type : Permanent/Regular Posting Range : 11 Jan 2022 - 18 Jan 2022 Description Strategic Analytics Manager Northampton As a Barclays Strategic Analytics Manager you will work within a big data and analytical focused team, supporting Business Payments & wider Barclays Payments activities. You will focus on data & analytical techniques to drive margin optimisation, new and existing customer growth, activation and retention & supporting financial and key metric commitments. You’ll be supporting best practice and challenging the status quo. What will you be doing? • Supporting the Barclays Payments strategic agenda in partnership with the Front Office and other shared functions across multiple geographies • Being responsible for initiating, defining, delivering and synthesising analysis to optimise the risk adjusted profitability of the business • Providing analysis to support optimal recruitment & pricing of new customers & performance metrics • Be an ambassador for rigorous analytical techniques across Barclays • Providing analysis and support the strategy to increase Barclaycard’s share of the market • Analysing the operations and call centre data to optimise the business unit goals • Measuring and finding better ways to measure performance of existing and future activities • Influencing deployment of marketing activities to ensure ability to test and learn, and enable measurement of performance against goals What we’re looking for: • Good track record of solving problems using big data and analytical and statistical tools e.g. SAS, SQL, R, Python for Deep Learning techniques, Computer Vision • Experience of building and transforming businesses through significant change and growth • Ability to provide a world-class customer/ client experience, underpinned by a culture of collaboration, innovation and high performance • Stakeholder management experience as you will partner with Barclays Payments ExFo & Directors plus DASA to align business strategies and maximize the value of Data Skills that will help you in the role: • Experience of executing mass customer treatment strategies such as new account pricing or existing customer profit activities • University degree level or higher qualification in a mathematical based subject or discipline • Inspirational leadership capability including proven experience in building and developing highly talented teams Where will you be working? Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
