Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be the eyes and ears on the ground working with the business to create real and active partnerships with both operations and management. You will foster strong relationships and provide analysis to assist thinking and the shaping of strategy with those you business partner. What you'll be doing: Working and supporting the Finance Director and Financial Controller, and being responsible for understanding and providing challenge to the finances of your business area Own the monthly accounting process, together with on-going forecasting and the business planning processes Month end reporting to the Vertical, including adding insightful commentary on key monthly variances for the results To work with other Finance Business Partners to issue timely detailed monthly reporting out to the business to ensure they have clear sight of actuals against budget and forecast Ensure appropriate controls are in place and adhered to, to enable accuracy of the financial results and a supportable balance sheet What we're looking for: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant finance experience, working on large contracts Experience in a similar role with proven ability to support and partner with non-finance staff Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate complicated financial concepts to a senior non accounting audience Previous experience using SAP/ Axiom is desirable Ability to build strong relationships About / Capita Fire and Rescue "Capita Fire and Rescue is a 12 year contract with a TCV of c.£600m that was won by Capita in 2019. The contract provides a fully modernised Fire and Rescue Service to number of RAF locations both in the UK and abroad. Together with the provision of Fire Safety and Prevention services across the whole of the MoD estate. Over the last two years Capita transformation has included the introduction of 128 new Fire Appliances which both improve the safety and efficiency of the service. We have also fully transformed the training course structure, moved the delivery of the training to Capita's world renown Fire Service College and introduced a distributed training model that enables Fire Fighters to undertaking most training at their home station."
