The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in revolutionizing healthcare in the UK and beyond A comprehensive wellbeing program; including Healthcare Plan & Employee Assistance Program Exciting and rewarding role in the high-growth environment Training and development opportunities, with personal learning allowance We embrace flexibility & remote working We provide a home working allowance to enable you to set up your workspace in a way which suits you Competitive Salary & company pension Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & adoption leave 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), a day off for your Birthday & Volunteering leave Regular team socials Your responsibilities as our Senior Accounting Manager – German Speaking will include: Setting the daily operational targets for the team and actively ensuring that the operational accounting processes are carried out together in a high quality Effectively and efficiently driving and improving the monthly and annual period-end closing including group consolidation and preparation of all relevant reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Checking and approving manual journal entries, accruals and deferrals in the general and sub-ledgers Creating a solid basis for the adjacent finance functions to provide all R2R services in high quality: for this purpose, you review, among others, sales entries, inventory changes, payrolls, payables, fixed asset accounting and the company-wide cost allocation Developing and complying with globally defined rules, regulations and country-specific laws (corporate governance and setting up an internal control system) Ensuring that policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports and/or other stakeholders Acting as a contact person for auditors and tax advisors in Germany and Switzerland What we’re looking for in our Senior Accounting Manager – German Speaking: A B.Sc or Master's degree in Finance and Accounting and/or qualified 3 years’ experience in one of the big 4 accounting firms (alternatively in a scale-up) An individual who is very well versed in HGB and IFRS Good analytical skills and a hands-on mentality A results-oriented, structured and organised individual Excellent communication skills in German and English, French as a plus Someone who likes to take responsibility and develop Someone who enjoys working in cross-functional, international teams and on dynamic topics If you’d like to be considered as our Senior Accounting Manager – German Speaking , click ‘Apply ’ now – we’d love to hear from you Having a culture that people want to work in, is very important to us.
