Director of Finance and Operations | Not for Profit | Hertfordshire | £70,000 - £75,000 Macildowie are very excited to be collaborating with a Not for Profit based in Hertfordshire who are seeking to appoint a Permanent Director of Finance and Operations. It's a fantastic friendly team to join at an organisation, which makes a real difference to the community. Reporting in to the CEO, you will be play an integral role guiding the Finance and Facilities function. This role is offering £70,000 - £75,000 depending on experience and only requires 1 day working in the office per week The role Finance: - Lead five personnel in the Finance Team - Produce the business plan for different financial scenarios in the context of the overall strategy. - Oversee the Finance function, which constantly strives to improve efficiency - Ensure budgets are agreed with Departments and approved by the respective Boards before the beginning of the financial year, and lead on reforecasting as required. - Ensure Financial Management Accounts are produced as quickly as possible after month end. - Keep up to date with Charity Commission Financial Guidance and Companies House in relation to trading activities and implement as appropriate. Estates and Facilities: - Lead three personnel in the Facilities Team - Lead the development of a Property/Estate Strategy for the Hospice and Trading Company. This will be a priority with the potential sale of Head Office. - To negotiate sale and purchase of freeholds, and oversee negotiation of property leases. Digital and Systems: - Identify the digital strategy and oversee the delivery of projects, which align with organisational goals - Ensure there are 24/7 infrastructure systems in place, and if they fail there are disaster recovery/ business continuity processes that can be quickly operationalised. Essential Requirements - Hands on experience and able to demonstrate significant financial leadership and decision-making in a senior role - Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA/ICAEW, CIPFA) - Experience working with Estates and Facilities - Experience of working cross-functionally with non-finance staff.
