Elevation Accountancy & Finance are working with a highly credible & well-established business based in Leeds as they look to expand their team with the appointment of Finance Officer to work in the Payable team; to ensure the smooth running of the purchase ledger and payment runs.The successful candidate must be a self-starter, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, will be incredibly organised and on-the-ball and be really keen to get stuck inDuties & Responsibilities: Ensure the weekly payment run is prepared, reviewed and paid on time each week Ensure any other payments are paid on time and in-line with policy Provide supervision and support to the Finance Assistant - Purchase Ledger including 1-2-1s and setting objectives Ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner in accordance with policy and that creditors are paid on time Review the aged creditors monthly and ensure accounts are reconciled and queries are followed up Provide cover for the Finance Assistant - Purchase Ledger Onboarding new suppliers and administering the Purchase Order system Ensure all processes are documented and available to other members of the team to ensure business continuity Meet regularly with the Finance manager - P2P to keep them informed of any issues and seek their advice on handling queries or implementing process improvements Validate travel expense claims and Input of expenses onto the accounting system (sage) Match supplier invoices to goods received and purchase orders Complete major supplier statement reconciliations and answer supplier and internal customer queriesElevation Recruitment Group are keen to speak to applicants with the following: Minimum 3-4 years' experience IT literate (specifically Excel & Microsoft package) Good mathematical ability Excellent attention to detail Strong Customer Service skills Experience working with cross functional teams Professional approach with a level head when under pressure GCSE Maths and English Qualification as a minimum Resilient and flexible - able to deal with contentious issues and ever changing/competing prioritiesElevation Accountancy Support is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment Group focusing on Administration positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
