Reporting into a highly experienced, well-respected Finance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering first-class financial analysis and management across one of the charity’s most crucial, and rapidly growing divisions. The key responsibilities of this Financial Analyst role are as follows: Provide critical analysis to enable Budget Holders to make informed decisions in line with the long-term financial objectives. Take the lead in the production of trend and performance analysis to enable stakeholders to turn data into actions and keep costs to a minimum. Business partner with a variety of consultants to compare and contrast spends in relation to budget, producing subsequent reports for review by Managers on a monthly basis. Full responsibility for producing accrual reports at month end and ensuring that all General Ledger account reconciliations have been completed in a timely fashion. Act as the key point of contact for all payment related queries for your area of responsibility. Lead negotiations and provide critical challenge to external suppliers in the interest of delivering cost savings. Play a leading role in the delivery of several large-scale projects, ensuring a smooth transition and that all charges and billings are correct. Work closely with the Reporting Team in the development of the annual budget, ensuring all costs or your area of responsibility have been correctly accounted for. The successful candidate will have: Strong understanding of debits, credits, accruals and statement reconciliations. Brilliant Excel skills and a keen eye for interpreting high volumes of data. Part-qualified as an accountancy professional or be qualified by experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A “can-do” attitude and exceptional attention to detail.
