We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our very talented Finance team as a Finance Assistant. The role offers excellent prospects in supporting the Finance Team Leader and other members of the finance team in processing transactions and reconciling accounts to ensure Moneybarn’s financial position is accurately stated in a timely fashion. We’re looking for someone with a logical mindset with an interest in learning or developing their Finance skills and experience further. You will have excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload, especially at month/year end due to the increased workload for financial reporting and closing of ledgers so it is key you are resilient, assertive, and confident in making decisions. Key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant: Ensuring all bank transactions are accurately and efficiently processed & reconciliation those bank accounts. Reconciling credit cards payments and Internet banking set up. Processing of agreement early settlements and partial early settlements. Responsible for management of Auction payments and maintenance of any errors/amendments. Processing account unwinds and managing unresolved agreement unwinds. Submitting weekly budget updates and requests for funding from parent company daily (budgeting to calculate what funds are required). Processing of credit notes, invoices, write offs and account closures from all other departments in the business and the maintenance of these processes. Audit of pay-outs and responsibility to submit these. VAT checks of new deals daily and management of petty cash and gift vouchers. What it will take to being a successful Finance Assistant: Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills and proactive approach towards customer service. Good Excel knowledge and strong numeracy skills. Comfortable working within a regulated environment, process, and procedures Excellent time management with the ability to work under pressure and strong attention to detail. GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above Experience of accountancy including sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations is desirable, but not essential. Why Moneybarn?
